Don't Like - People Wearing Shorts In The Winter

There’s a certain kind of person, almost always a guy, that I don’t understand. His big sin is that he goes out in the frigid cold and he’s only got a pair of shorts on. It doesn’t matter how cold it is. He wants to be there with his exposed knees courting guffaws from sensible onlookers. It isn’t the case that these guys have super hairy legs or some other readily explainable reason for why they wear shorts in the winter. They do it because they can. Sure, they’ll say something about how wearing shorts is just more comfortable but there’s no reason to believe that. As any pants wearers can attest, there are comfortable pants out there. This is about something else. It’s a public display of nonchalance and toughness but I’m not buying it. I think they’re colder than they want to admit for reasons they refuse to admit. Whatever, to each their freezing cold own.
