Over the last ten years, I’ve seen pretty much everything get more expensive except for one thing: the television. In fact, televisions have actually done the impossible and gotten cheaper. It’s astounding that you can find a 50” 4K for $300 when that same size TV in lower quality would have cost over $1000 ten to fifteen years ago. It’s one of the true wonders of free market capitalism, have you seen how many brands there are making TVs these days? It’s overwhelming, especially because most of the choices are good. I’ve had the same TCL TV for the last six years and it’s great, mostly because I don’t play video games. So what’s not to like? Well, as it turns out, TVs aren’t getting cheaper out of the kindness of anyone’s heart. The real reason is that TVs now sell your data. Yep, that’s right. TVs got the right answer to seemingly every tech business question these days. The funny thing is that you’re probably less aware of it with your TV than you are with, say, social media. But just because you don’t know it’s going on doesn’t mean it isn’t happening. Just remember this post when the cost of microwaves starts to decline precipitously.

I guess that anomaly in price gouging is part of the process of brainwashing. You can't make people stupid and impassive without the television. Or if you can, the television is clearly the easiest method and if you add that it is how you can spy on them from their own televisions, well, it seems like a no-brainer to those looking to manipulate and control humanity....
