They say the two best words in sports are “Game Seven.” It’s one of the better sports clichés there is, even though I think most fans would prefer that their teams had won the whole thing in games four, five, or six. But Game 7 is great because there aren’t any future games to play for. There’s no more strategizing around saving your big guns. Everything has to be left out on the proverbial floor. That means the pressure is both on and off. A winner will be crowned. Hearts will be broken. The teams know each other by now. Will one of them still have tricks they can pull out of their bag? Does one of them have a little more gas left in the tank? Who is ready to write the next big chapter of their legacy? Only one way to find out.
