Sometimes when you’ve been hanging out for a while and the energy reaches a frantic crescendo and then it’s time to reel it back in, you’ll say, “… annnnd scene.” Or maybe you’re talking to someone and the conversation takes an oddly tense turn that compels you to defend yourself but don’t want to be too aggressive about it so you finish with, “… the defense rests.” Or perhaps you find yourself helping out in someone’s home kitchen and you ask for a task and say, “yes chef” when you get it. These are but a few examples, of which there are far more. But the loose point here is that adding a bit of technical talk to your quotidian vernacular is an oft-appreciated way to add some light-hearted elocution to everyday life. The only rule here is to not use jargon from your professional life because that is almost always annoying. You know?

When's the post about two dollar words, Mr. "your quotidian vernacular is an oft-appreciated way to add some light-hearted elocution to everyday life."
