There’s something about a little kid with a mohawk that’s obnoxious. It’s like what the hell are you rebelling against? You’re five. How could you possibly be punk? You still like to have bedtime stories read to you. You’ll often see a kid with a mohawk with parents who have mohawks. It’s social rebellion set against familial conformity, which is minorly ironic when you think about it. What is more punk than making your kid be punk? Feels a little weird. But that isn’t always the case either. Some kids who have mohawks have otherwise normal parents. The type of Millennial/Gen X parents
Totally agree about the bowl cut. Also agree about the Mohawk for a slightly different reason. My kids are ALWAYS rebelling and testing the limits. Sometimes it’s funny. Sometimes it’s not. Regardless, I don’t need another reminder of their rebellion in the form of a haircut.
