The best kind of clever tweet is a specific type of pun that creates meaning by putting the referential words throughout the sentence instead of saving them as a punchline. Many, if not most, of these jokes are quite crude. My favorite safe-for-work version is the “Even at my lois I’m still a family guy” tweet from bigguccicraigy. It’s perfect. It has the panache of hustle culture but rerouted through the insanity of a Family Guy reference, resting on the double pun of “lois” for “lowest” and “family guy” for “Family Guy.” Ok, maybe that last part isn’t quite a pun. It probably falls into the more general category of double entendre but an especially vacuous iteration. Either way, it’s funny. A classic of the genre is the rather crude, “
